Team fabricated many prototypes from foam core models to the appearance model to evaluate ideal aesthetics and usabilities as part of design development process. Team and client’s marketing team was proceed target user tests and interviews to confirm the best design direction.

Team also supported manufacturing process closely with client and client’s contract manufacturer as trustworthy partner to make sure all design details were correctly maintained.

Drinkworks Home Bar’s all design details were designed inspired from bar objects to communicate authentic bar experience through shape and material itself.

Tone downed dark colored parts are helping to emphasize bar inspired parts which are beer draft tower shaped cylindrical chrome tower and cocktail shaker shaped pod holder. Intuitive cold aluminium bale handle is communicating traditional Keurig brand’s identity as well as reminding cocktail craft tool through material and feeling when you touch it.

Blue LED light along the main start button is emphasizing the button as well as communicating “cold” through color itself.

Wide drip tray is also communicating authentic bar object through shape itself and easily catch any drips from pod holder and water tank.

Main U.I area is designed with smoked lens and capacitive touch buttons. It is providing intuitive usability and reveal it’s modern technologies.
